With a record of 30-5, this team proved to be one of the best in
C.H.S. annals. Their first game at state (Sweet Sixteen) the Troutmen
fell to Quincy 23-31. Quincy went on to win state with only
one loss, that was to Centralia at the Pontiac Tourney.
Lowell Spurgeon gained first team All-State honors
for a second time.
