"Pig"
Oland received 12 varsity letters at
Centralia High School. As a Freshman he
started in basketball, football, and track.
He was First Team All-State football
fullback in 1947 and ran the 100 yd. dash
10.2. His
four years of basketball saw a record of
105-39 and a second place in State in
1946. Coach
Trout literally “seasoned” Pig at center
court to quiet the downtown “coaches”.
