He
received All-State and All-State Tournament
honors as a guard on the 1940-41 Centralia
High School
basketball team that finished with a 44-2
record and third in state.
Bob received honorable mention All-State
recognition in football as he led the 1940
CHS squad in scoring on their way to a
conference championship and an 8-2 record.
In
track at CHS he and Dike Eddleman tied for
District high jump honors with jumps of
6’3 1/2”.
