In
1968, Centralia High School posted a 7-1-1
football record, thanks to the defensive
play of Scott Engel. That same year he
earned honors of being named an All-State and All-American
football player. Engel was a football starter at Georgia Tech
until sidelined by injuries.
Engel's #74 is
retired at CHS.
